How Horrible!!!!!
Oh my gosh, that poor man!!!! And, his poor mother!!!! When I was only 9 years old, my little dog Pippi got run over on the highway, trying to follow my little brother to the store. I remember burying Pippi in her basket, and how much guilt I had felt for not watching Pippi, and my brother saw the whole incident and was horrified. It is so awful to see something you love so much get hit by a car, you always blame yourself for not watching better. Two years ago, my cat Buster got run over, he was running to see my husband home from work, and a scumbag speeding in a minivan hit him at 70 mph, and did not stop. Accidents are one thing, you can eventually forgive, but deliberate actions are never forgiven. One week ago I let Rusty out to do his business, and I saw a car slowly coming up the road. I looked out the window and screamed, Rusty was standing in the road right in front of the car!!!! Thank God, the car stopped and honked and Rusty eventually got out of the way!!!! I am so thankful the driver saw Rusty in time, and, now, I never let Rusty out unattended!!! He has lived here 4 years and never ever went out on the road, but there is always a first time. I hugged Rusty and cried, thinking of what could have been, and inside my heart I was so thankful the driver was caring. Hopefully that poor man can eventually forgive himself, it WAS an accident, but it will take a long time!!!! What a sad story!!!!
