update on new boxer

Well we named our new girl Stormee. She was very groggy yesterday after her spaying and the vet said to not encourage any activity. Obviously he does not know boxers. Today she is up and about. She is not deaf only selective hearing like most kids. She already knows sit and is doing quite well on housetraining only having 2 accidents. She is so boxerish that we try to crate her so she does not split her stitches playing with Milo our other boxer. She seems to have had some training but maybe her previous people got tired of trying. I think with little effort she will learn so much more. More later

great name stormee. that is the name of my pappillion and I spell it the same way. I'm sure little stormee will be fine and running around in no time

So happy to hear she is doing well . Sounds like it is all going so well. Now, as far as selective hearing, my husband, boxers and son all suffer from it. Don't believe ther is a cure!!!

Improving daily

Stormee seems to improve by leaps and bounds. She barked for the first time today. It shocked all of us because she has not made much noise since we brought her home. She is not too sure about the crate but loves her chew toys. She is still quite skinny from neglect but the vet says three small meals a day until she is better and can tolerate more at one feeding. Stormee and Milo seem to be getting along much better.
