duke had a keratomy done last week. The vet had to sew his eye together because duke would not leave it alone even with a "dome collar." He was so smart he figured out how to rub it with that thing on. He had a huge ulceration and it has healed except for a small little spot. I am still putting eye drops in it and next week will start steroid drops to get rid of the grayish discoloraton he has now.
thanks for all the help and responses. My vet was incredible. He called every opthalmologist he could find on the subject. He called me and has been wonderful. He is a brand new vet and quite up to par on newest treatments.
