Out of surgery

Hi all,
I just got a call from the surgeon, and Cookie is out of surgery. She did very well, and the tumor was completely surrounded by fat, so we're hoping he got it all. Unfortunately, because her surgery was so late in the day, she's staying the night at the clinic. I'll update again in the morning after I pick her up. Hopefully we'll know within the next week or so what kind of tumor it is.

Thanks so much for the update. We were just taking about Cookie. So happy to hear she did well and keeping our paws crossed that they got it all. We wish you a good nights sleep and send lots of boxer ((((hugs)))) and tons of healing vibes to Cookie. Waiting for you post tomorrow to hear how amazing she is doing. Stay tough sweet girl Cookie!!!

I hope that Cookie is feeling better soon. It's so difficult to wait for the news on which type of cancer it is. I thought I was going to go insane, waiting for Cadence's diagnosis. Then when I did get the diagnosis, the first vet told me the wrong type of cancer! I hope that Cookie gets better soon...Colby and Skye are sending her lots of get-well wiggles!

It's bedtime, and I miss her now especially. She sleeps on her own big doggy mattress beside my bed, and it's weird not to have her here.

Cookie is home, and acts like nothing at all happened. The surgeon removed the confirmed malignancy, as well as the mass I originally suspected to be a Mast Cell Tumor on the back of her neck, and another suspicious lump on her chest. She looks like a patchwork of suture lines, shaven patches, gray hair, and the big bald spot from her radiation, but she isn't in any obvious discomfort. She snarfed down her breakfast and asked for more, so I know she's okay :D Thank you for all the good thoughts.
