Did you receive copies of health testing, for both the Sire and Dam?

If the Breeder does not do any health testing (if she is a "back yard breeder"), she most likely wouldn't have any clue as to what sort of maladies are prevalent in her line of breeding. Quite irresponsible yes, but probably not illegal.

At any rate, I really hope Sox gets well soon and you can put this behind you. Do keep us updated!

That is horrible. Why did you have her spayed so young by the way? Our vet would only do it around 6 months of age. Anyway, that is irrelevent. Kit just got spayed about 10 days ago and I can't imagine what you are feeling.

Our reasoning for doing it early rather than late (spaying) was because we were told it could be done anytime between 4 & 6 months. Also, that if it were done (for females) before their first heat, it was believed to be a less chance of ovarian cancer etc. I'm headed to go pick her up now, finally.... I just wish I could get the results back quicker!

Well, Sox is home... and it was a rough afternoon, but she is starting to come around. Thank you for the info on the puppy "ice cream" she had one tonight, it was the only thing she would eat, I think because it was cold and refreshing. The vet said 7-10 days and we will find out about the biopsy... Please keep us in your prayers! Oh! She just started butt wiggles and kidney beaning again, so that makes me feel a little better

We got the results

We got Sox's results yesterday and we were very happy. She doesn't have cancer, she has some sort of inflamation... which still isn't good but its better then cancer. We just want to thank everyone on BW for all their good vibes and butt wiggles Sox will be around for a while to come!!
