I have a question about changing my file name to the accepted file name so I can upload my pictures. I'm sort of computer challenged, but once I'm told how to do somthing I'm usually able to remember it. Any help would be great! Thanks

Do you need to know how to change the file name so that it starts with a letter? Do you use XP?

When you click "save as" you can then type the name of the file you want

You can do what Maniago said or when you open your Picture File, click on the picture and on the left hand side under "File and Folder Tasks" there is a "Rename this file" Option. Just click on it and type in the new name under the picture. Note the the "Rename this file" option does not show up until you click on the picture. It sounds complicated, but is actually really easy.

Good luck!

Sort of Worked

I was able to change the name of the photo, but not the important part. I need to change it from a bmp (I believe) image type to a jpg or a jpeg image type. Not that I have the right lingo does that make better sence? I found some of my pictures are the right image type, but are to large...I'll just have to start taking more pictures I guess to post them.....lol.

Okay I figured out how you can do it from your picture files. Open your pictures and right click on the photo that you want to change. It will open Paint (should have come with XP) Click on File, then Save as. it opens a new window and at bottom of the the window, you can both change the name and on the next line the file type. Does that make sense?
