Rocky has not yet reached this stage yet (he is 9mos old). But having had 3 other boxers I remember all to well the rebellious years! Man oh man...I hope they come & go quick! Good luck & be strong!

Ah, the adolescent stage. That was all such a short time ago. And I can't wait to go through it again with my 8 week old. This should be fun. Just have fun, and remember that it's true, this too shall pass. ;)

Truth is most of the stuff he does, I have to hold back the laughter so as not to encourage the bad behavior.
We have a rule here for ourselves regarding the behaviour (or non-behaviour) of the dogs:

"Do not smile, do not grin, NEVER laugh, in fact, don't even begin to think anything they do is remotely amusing"

Unfortunatley, neither of us stick to this rule  That could explain why Ruben is still such a prat - but an amusing one

May the force be with you - be strong, and remember not to smile smashicon

Oh my gosh!! Skye is in the same mode--going on 9 mos. Decided NOT to ask to go out to potty anymore (i'll just pee in the house thank you mom). Reverting to ripping up everything on or near the floor. evilicon

I just have to sigh and remember that "this too shall pass". Boo is now the perfect dog after her teenage years. It goes so fast now she's a mellow two year old.

So, It's Called Counter Surfing!!!!!

Saddam has just started doing this, and he is almost 2 years old. I do not know what got him started, but his nose is always going, smelling out food. He likes to get up on the stove, and eat out of the pans. He will pull them off of the stove, and crash them to the ground. Luckily, he has only broken one pot, but that was enough. Now, I have caught him in the act several times, and have told him that is not the way a young man should behave. He never did this when he was younger, only just recently. It is very humorous, though, how he tries his hardest to get at food on the counters. Now, to be safe, I take the pots and move them out of reach, or push them back on the stove. Funny, the stove is the only place he is attracted to, he does not get in the pantry or in the lazy Susan. He is just one little stinker!!!!!
