Completely Boxer Crazy
You know, the man never ceases to amaze me.
Yesterday I had emailed some pix to my breeder and gave her an update on Winston. We went to the vet for his 3rd shots and he is 26 lbs.! I always ask about her and her family, and about her boxers. When she emailed me back she told me that she had just taken Winston's brother back from a family about a week ago. She said they had called her a couple of times and were very flustered with him. They previously had a boxer so they know the breed but seemed to expect him to be fully trained already. She was upset, of course, that his home didn't work out :( But as she said, he deserved more than they were obviously willing to give. So now she said she is very carefully screening because she wants to make sure that the home he goes to is going to be permanent one.
So I'm telling dh the story last night and all of a sudden he says, oh, why don't we take him! What? Are you for real? He NEVER says things like that. He usually complains about the pets - I guess Winston has really captured his heart too. I was in my daughter's room and I hear him go - aww. I ask him what he is looking at...he's on the breeders website looking at the puppie's updated picture she posted when she took him back! He kept talking about it all night! So know he has planted the seed and I can't stop thinking about him. He looks identical to Winston except he has a tiny bit more white on his chest.
What to do, what to do? Winston is the perfect puppy - what are they chances of having two perfect puppies? He would be fun though, and Winston would love his company. I'm afraid to even ask her about him, I know I'll just get hooked :(
