can you visit and at least smell the puppy breath I agree sleep and enjoy it

the breeder is about 2-1/2 hours away and with a soon to be 5 year old son, a 5 hour road trip is kind of tuff to do right now :(

they are sending weekly photos of the pup so we are constantly checking our emails.

we have a big field in back and a dog park only a few hundred yards away, i noticed saturday someone there with a boxer but didnt have time to stop and chat as a parade was coming through.

I remember waiting to get our Lexi. She was my valentine's gift from my husband. She was not even born yet.
When we found out the litter had been born, it was like it was my own baby.
For 8 weeks, I spent so much time going on the breeders website looking at her pictures week by week, watching her grow.
And then the day came when I met up with the breeder (she lives several hours away), and I first saw Lexi in person. It was soooooooo awesome.
Since she came into our lives on a Tuesday, I took 5 days pupternity leave in order to spend more time with her the first week.

I am sure the wait must be agonizing for you.
But as everyone has said, get your sleep now and be ready for the middle of the night pee breaks.

First and foremost - get as much sleep as possible!! ;-)

Have you investigated vet insurance - we have it for Maggie and unfortunately, we have used it a great deal. Have you picked a vet?

Read up on dog food.

Prepare dog bedding and towels and be prepared to do lots of laundry!
