lol...Tyson has a bad habit of needing to be at my feet whenever I'm in the kitchen. Since he loves flossies(beef tendon), I gave him one to chew on to keep him out from under me. He's chewing away and pawing at it to get a good grip, next thing I hear is a whimper. I go to see whats wrong and he's still chewing away but one of his toes is stuck in a spiral. So it's whimper/chew/whimper/chew....lol

I grab his leg to try to free him and he's still chewing, as I'm getting him freed he never missed a bite.

I guess it tasted better than it hurt.

 thats too funny. My dog, named tyson as well, seems to always get in the way too, but we still love him. Whenever i call my niece's dog (anabell) who comes running? Tyson. It drives him nuts when the other dog gets attention. About getting in the way, maybe its a Tyson thing:D

I don't think that being in the way is just a Tyson thing. It's definately a Maggie thing, too. When husband and I are in the kitchen fixing supper, Maggie is right there - under foot and in the way. We have to side step around her, as she usually is laying on her side with all 4 legs stuck out as far as they can be. It's like cooking with an obstacle course. She's no dummy, however; she knows that if something is "slopped" on the floor, that she gets the honor of cleaning up the mess. Maggie also likes to help load the dishwasher. I don't have to rinse the dishes off before putting them in the dishwasher; Maggie takes care of that for me - standing at the ready as each dish is loaded on the bottom rack.

Dan - I see that you and Tyson are Hoosiers, too! If you don't mind my asking, what part of Central Indiana? I'm a Hoosier, too - from the Southeast section close to the Indiana/Ohio Border.

He just knew you'd help him get out of it, so he just kept on chewin'!!
Boomer seems to be under my feet no matter what I'm doing- walking, cooking (especially, it smells sooo good), even taking a shower-that's his newest thing. I haven't let him in there except one time-when he sticks his little no-nose in there I can't help but laugh and in dog talk laugh=yes. It was quite a site-he loved it!!!
