Boxer Insane
Seriously, I don't know what I've done to deserve all of this bad luck lately. I had a crappy Christmas w/ Tyson and Crash both getting sick. $600 later, Tyson was misdiagnosed and ended up having a bowel obstruction, and luckily passed it. I don't want to think about what would have happened if he hadn't passed it.
Then my cat runs away, which has been stressing me out. I got her when she was 4 weeks old (young and dumb at the time... I was told she was 8 weeks and I didn't know any better). I had to bottle feed her, and because of that I was told she would be very close to me. And indeed she was. She was my little baby.... still is my little baby, which is why it's so hard for me to have her gone.
Now Tyson eats a toy the size of his head basically. I gave him peroxide to induce vomiting. He vomited, but the toy didn't come out. DH had to take him to the emergency clinic. They took an x-ray, and sure enough the entire toy is in his stomach. How the !#$@* he managed to swallow the whole thing is beyond me. DH saw him chewing hard on it and tried to take it from him and Tyson swallowed it whole. I don't think they tried to pump his stomach or anything since it's so big. They said they can either try and extract it out, which is about $400, and not guaranteed to work, or they can do surgery, which is about $1500.
To add to this, my cell phone died completely out of the blue after all this happened (no buttons work and the display doesn't light up) so DH was unable to reach me from the vet to decide what to do. He ended up bringing Tyson home, and Tyson will be going to the vet tomorrow for surgery. He's due to be neutered on the 14th, so I don't know if they are going to do that at the same time or not.
So we will be spending well over $2000 in the past 2-3 weeks. Tyson is worth it, but honestly... can't something go right for me??!!?!?!??! :(
I have to get up for work tomorrow at 3 AM. It's 10:30 PM right now and I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep.
Please send healing vibes for Tyson's surgery.
