i just read about two boxers, one male 4 yrs and one female 3 yrs, for sell. they say there are moving and must sell. for some reason that just dosen't sound right to me. i would love to give them a number to a boxer rescue or take them in myself , but i don't have the money and there isn't a rescue close to where they are located. the closest one is about 3-4 hrs in either directon.

anyone have any ideas. i just don't want to think of them going to a bad home:confused:

What about calling the local rescues (no matter how far they may be) and letting them know about the ad you saw. Then they could get in touch with the people trying to sell the dogs...?

I wish I were closer and had the resources to help! I just hate the thought of any boxers (or any dog for that matter) going to an unloving home where they may just be used as a mill to generate income. (See the thread "I ruined their value" - http://boxerworld.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=49163&goto=newpost) There's a lot of good info there on the subject!

Good Luck!

I would call the boxer rescues in your state. I volunteer at a rescue and we would drive to any end of the state to pick up a boxer in need! Let us know what happens!

Or...feel free to call and recomend rescue yourself. I personally have found that most newspaper sellers do not want to give the dogs up for "free" and they usually are looking to make some money "back" but it would not hurt to point them in the direction of rescue.
