Is it normal for a 8 month 2 be constantly twitchin when sleepin, her face, legs, belly and even tongue twitches. I was wondering if it is anything to be worried about.

I know my guys do a lot of twitching when they are sleeping, not all the time though, just crazy dreams!

Taya always twitches in her sleep. I think it's normal. Recently she started growling and barking in her sleep too, not loud, but noticeable. I agree, just crazy dreams.

Yes, most boxers seem to twitch a lot in their sleep. We have 4 puppies right now that are only a week old, and last night my husband and i watched as all 4 of them and their momma were all twitching in there sleep. If your pup's twitching seems violent or goes on for an extended period of time, it wouldn't hurt to call the vet just to make sure the pup isn't having seizures. But as long as it seems to be sleeping, I think it's just fine.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the twitching. I think all dogs do it while they sleep. Our puppy does it when he's in a deep sleep. You would know the difference between sleeping twitches and a seizure. Our past dog had seizures and they are more violent. Our dog would foam at the mouth and loose control of bowels. So I don't worry about sleeping twitches!!

Willis's call name before we got him was "twitch" because he shook like crazy in his sleep. He still does a lot, although not as constantly. If you're really concerned, might be worth asking the vet next time you are there. But probably your baby is just chasing squirrels in their dreams.

I love it when Tae twitches and barks in her sleep. It cracks me up. I had a Husky when I was growing up and she ran marathons in her sleep. I'm sure humans do it as well!

I just came back from a vet vist and asked my vet about Zoey "twitching" in her sleep. My vet said it was normal and there was nothing to worry about. However, I think it is also good to ask you vet just to be on the safe side.
