Laylasmommy, I am not sure, but try Philadelphia boxer rescue! I am not sure what the limitations are (as in where they visit to and such!!) But even if they can't help you in home visits. They are very friendly (at least to me they were!!) They could help you with places closer to you. That you may not even know about!!Explain the situation, if they say that they can't let you because of a fence, that you already have a boxer and that it is well taken care for, socialized, exersized, and happy, despite the fact that you don't have a fence!!

Thanks Baileysmom, I have seen alot of dogs get hit and that is why Layla never goes outside without her leash, I just couldnt see loosing her that way much less another dog attack her or something.. She is my world and I cannot live without her... When we get a house the first thing we are putting up is a fence so she can play.. I think we are going to wait on getting another dog for now.. It is very hard to get excepted with my living arrangements and adopting a boxer. So after we get our house and a fence we will try again. I looked at Layla last night laying on the couch with her head on the pillow like a little kid, and considered myself blessed for having her... (even if i cant save a boxer now there is always another time) So I suppose she will be even more spoiled now... I think my honey will kick me out if I buy her anymore toys
lol let him cause he cant live without her either........

I have an angel watching over me only she wears wings of fur.

Thanks bustermom, I checked out those pages...and took the time to read that incredible thread! So impressive what people are willing to do for others :) I am amazed by the outpouring of support that was shown. There are still good people in this world (and most are them are here on BW) - makes me proud to know that I'm now a part of the BW family...

Many of us that vol. for rescues due have to think of how long the dog is going to be left alone and how the dog is going to be left alone. If its going to left outside, does it have shelter, food and water. If in the house is it going to be created for long periods. Yes you have to take it case by case but when I do the home visits and I don't think that it would work for one the dogs I tell my adoption coodnater no on the adoption on the home check.
