Our five year old female boxer has on and off problems with her stomach. It seems that late night and early morning it is the worse. She vomits at night and eats very slowly in the AM. As the day goes on she seems better. We have changed foods to an all natural diet and have tried the I/D diet from the vet. I don't believe she is getting into anything and the problem seems to come and go. She also burps up food frequently, almost like and acid reflux type problem. The vet has no clue what the problem could be. Her stomach does not seem to be swollen or sensitive. Anyone with any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

When she vomits, what does it look like? Is there any food in it, or is it a yellowish liquid with no food at all?

If it is the latter, then the problem may well just be that her tummy is empty for too long and she's vomiting bile. In that case, you may find that feeding her smaller meals more frequently, or even just a late night snack takes care of the problem.

If she's vomiting bits of food, then the food is more likely the problem. In that case, you might try a grainless kibble or a natural raw diet instead.
