My Drake did that at that age.

I think he expected that I wanted him to pee every time he went out, so he "assumed the position" and a lot of the time only a trickle would come out. Now, at 11 mos. he knows me better and knows when HE has to go, so sometimes he goes out and just plays and will not go til another couple of hours. Hope this helps.

Well my fiance took him to the vet and it turned out that he had a parasite in his intestines called coccidia. He also had a few white blood cells in his urine so she thought there was a chance that he could have a minor infection. She sent him home with some oral Albon (500mg) and oral Clavamox (125 mg). He takes the pills no problem (in some peanut butter) and I really think he is doing better. I also switched his food from Nutro Ultra to Natural Balance (Venison and Brown Rice) and so far he really likes it. I'm relieved to see that he is doing better! Thanks for all the advice. Also, any word on good treats since most I saw had wheat flour as the main ingredient.

Glad you found the problem! As for treats you can always use baby carrots..if you sort of freeze them it helps with teething also..good luck and sending slobbery kisses..

I like Old Mother Hubbard bones. Let me rephrase that, Indy and Ava love them. The preferred flavors of Indy and Ava are the P'nuttier and the Bac'NCheese. They are made with human quality ingredients.

A great training treat that someone gave us, and the dogs love it is "Chicken Nibbles". It's 100% chicken, and comes in wafers about the size of a quarter and twice as thick. It's not greasy, so you can carry them in your pocket if you choose. I wouldn't do it with good trousers, just in case. I don't think Petco or Petsmart carry the "nibbles". I've found them on the internet by searching "chicken nibbles". They come in a one pound jar, and the price varies from twelve to seventeen dollars.

Another good treat, but you should give them sparingly is the freeze dried liver cubes. They are pricey, but if you dole them out according to the directions, they will last a long time.
