Head tremors seem to be a prevalent problem among boxers, especially boxer puppies. My Loki had them as a puppy usually right before or after sleeping. Im not sure that there is any definate answer about what causes them.
Then Loki had 2 head tremors within 6 weeks when he was freshly 3 years old. I had the Vet do full blood work tests and found that he had extremely high liver enzyme levels. The vet and I are not sure that was the cause, however since I switched him to a lower fat & lower protein kibble, (from Wellness to Nutro Ultra,) he hasn't had another tremor in a year and his liver enzyme levels have dropped drastically to normal levels. I think we went from 26% protein in his food to 18% now...

Tremors

My little girl Harley started having tremors when she was about 4 months old. (She is almost 2 now.) I tried everything. Taking away toys she would possibly chew up, any bones or rawhides with flavoring to them, I cut down bushes in my backyard when I saw here knawing on them, threw away the Febreeze, the Swiffer Wet Jet, you name it. They continued.

Christmas 2005, someone suggested a new dog food for us to try as opposed to Science Diet because of the high amounts of corn meal they use in their product. (she is slightly overweight since we had her fixed.) I had been feeding her Science Diet since day one. She hasn't had a tremor since, 4 months now, when she was having them about once to twice a week, sometimes daily. I am not sure if it was just coincidence but as soon as I changed the food, the tremors stopped.

This is what worked for us and I hope it may help you. Watching her that way broke my heart. Our vet wouldalways say to us, "It hurts you a lot more then its hurting her." Somehow, as much as I told myself that, it never made me feel better. GOOD LUCK!
