Rowdy demostrated his fine art of landscaping this morning...it was hysterical trying to walk him down the street and having him attack EVERY tree. I kept having to detangle him from the branches he was "pruning" and at one point he looked like a shrub! :p

I thought I would share with you his 9 easy steps to Tree Trimming!

Step 1: Identify a low hanging branch - preferably 3 feet taller than you are
Step 2: Take a running leap towards your target
Step 3: Catch the branch and swing from it with all fours off the ground
Step 4: Fall on your butt with branch in mouth
Step 5: Take off running with branch in mouth
Step 6: Jump, spin and thrash branch until it's tangled around you
Step 7: Make mom spend 10 mins detangling branch from around you
Step 8: Bark at mom for making you leave the branch
Step 9: Repeat steps 1-8 until mom decides she is not detangling you anymore! ;)

How funny! I keep trying to tell DH that Aspen would make an excellent garden apprentice, she could put all her effort into weeding instead of pot hole dogging.....hubby had a good point though with regards to how we could teach her the difference between a weed and a plant.. I say symantics :)

HAHA!! Too funny!! They are such wonderful helpers aren't they?!! I don't know what yard work would be like without them!!

Winston just mostly creates more yard work. His major "help" is with shoveling, especially snow. He stands in my shovel and digs all the snow or dirt back out!

Sami
Winston docked and floppy 6/04

When I worked in the yard Rock would always take a screwdriver or whatever I laid down and run off with it . Most of the time I didnt see him do it until he was out in the yard throwing it up in the air to himself. No repair was ever quick but it was always fun.

Can I borrow him I have a couple trees that need some work!
Of course you can! cool2icon
I was actually thinking of contracting him out to the city of Dville! We have a bunch of trees along our roads that need to be cut back! Do you think I could train him to trim the hedges to look like animals??? Then we would be in business...he could pay for his own toys. ;)
