training deaf puppy

It has been a long time since I posted. Laila is now 3 & we just got a new boxer puppy this weekend. Lenox is deaf or very hard of hearing. We took him to the vet tonight and she confirmed it. Any tips from someone who has trained a deaf puppy before. I plan on using hand signals.

Have you already found this site? www.deafdogs.org It is an excellent resource for training deaf dogs. Generally speaking, there is little difference for the dogs in training deaf or hearing dogs - mostly it is the people who have to adjust (i.e. hand signals, instead of relying on voice), There really are just a few minor adjustments to help the dog adapt
