greetings. my puppy is 6 weeks old now. I was wondering at what age do they start playing with their toys or get interested in playing. we play for a few minutes and then all of a sudden it is nap time. The potty training thing is working. only a few accidents and that is because we are slowly picking up on the signals. Any info about play time or good toys puppy boxers love please let me know.

I got Murph at 6 weeks and he has always loved his toys. He loves the stuffed ones and has always been very gentle with them...although now with a Jack Russell and another Boxer..they don't live long!

Maybe just start playing with them with the pup. Tossing them for the pup to go after etc.

Congrats on your new pup! Murph is going on 3 next month and has been such a good boy! :)

Now I have 2 and wouldn't have it any other way...other than getting another one! LOL :p

Congrats on your new Puppy! We have ALWAYS had a lot of toys laying around for our dogs to play with. We have NEVER had a problem with our boxers chewing on anything but toys. When we first got Oscar, the day I brought him home, I got a stuffed green animal that had long arms and legs. That was two and a half years ago and we still have it! It's the only one he and Mollie haven't demolished. I think it holds sentimental meanings to Oscar. Besides that, we have numerous balls, ropes, big bones, frisbees, Kongs, nylabones, etc laying around. (They are spoiled). Sometimes I wonder if they ever play with half the things they have but, they do. Sometimes one toy is forgotten about for some time and then I will see them playing with one again. I have always believed in variety...that way they don't get bored. Good luck in your selections, there are many exciting things out there.
