Toy is Stressing Him Out!

Dino, who is almost 1-1/2, has a toy that stresses him out. It's a stuffed red guitar (actual dog toy!) that plays a song when you press it in a certain place. When he hears the song his head cocks back and forth a few times and then he starts crying. He picks it up and carries it VERY gently, crying the whole time. It's almost like he thinks it's a baby (although he would have no idea what one was!). It's like he doesn't know what to do with it. We only let him have it once in awhile. Anyone else have this goofy boxer behavior?

Punchie has never done this, but I used to have a male cat that did that with a toy bunny. He would put Mr. Bunny (we named him) in his mouth and walk around the house meowing. Cracked me up, but I never really knew why he did it.

Chief has a singing stuffed gorilla that he stresses over! It sings Wild Thing! And he cries, kicks, and stomps at it!

Abbie does about the same thing to her babble ball. She will carry it around whining and looking for a place to hide it. She gets all bent out of shape over it.

Nikita does this with squeeky toys. Actually I like it cause it entertains her for long periods of time. She doesn't seem to like toys unless they're squeeky.

Butler does this only with rawhide chews. He walks around with it in his mouth as if in a panic. He doesn't do this all the time, or even every week. But occasionally he gets this urge to "hide" the darn thing, and I swear he's having a panic attack.

Cats walk around with toys in their mouth, meowing, because they are letting you know that they have a "gift" for you. In the wild, they carry food in their mouth, and meow to the litter to communicate with them. I don't know about dogs though, I know a lot more about cats.
I know the noises in toys drive my two dogs crazy. Izzy does the same thing, turns her head sideways and cries when it stops making noise. I will post a video of it later. I got them both monkeys that whistle and then say "I go banana's over you". The monkey is holding a banana.. its for valentines day... they were 2 dollars. They already "killed" one of them, heh.

Rocky doesn't like the Leap frog alphabet thing on our fridge. If it starts playing, he tries to get it to kill it, or eat it. He is funny about the toys. He will sit at the toy basket(on a stand so that he doesn't eat them all at once) and cry for you to get him a toy. Usually you have to offer him everyone and he will take his pick from there.

chloe has a monkey that makes monkey sounds and she loves to activate it then attack the daylights out of it she growls and throws it accross the room stomps on it,then goes in for more its too funny how aggressive she is with that one toy.

Jade hates toys that make any noise. We brought home a toy for her that does this weird squeak thing and she played with it until it made that noise then jumped up like she saw a ghost and went to her den and hid from it. hehehe She wouldn't come out till she couldn't see it anymore. Then I put it in a corner and when she saw it she went and hid again. Needless to say that toy has been put away. Crazy baby!!!
