totally gross

ok. so today bailey threw up this disgusting thing. its like agreenish brownish colour and about 3' x 2' i couldnt believe what i was seeing so i disected it and unbeliveably.. its a part of a toy which he swallowed about 4 or 5 weeks ago. it a small ball about 1' in diameter and is stuffed rather than hard. i called the vet when he swallowed it but they said it should pass and just to make sure he was eating without throwing up and pooping normally (which he was right from the start) i assumed it had gone through but it was obviously laying in his stomach the whole time!!!! mad isnt it!! i cant believe he wsnt showing any symptoms or anything. and it was like the ball was the core and then there was a layer about an inch deep of all fluff and hair and all sorts or gross stuff!!! mad
now his stomach is making all these mad gurgling noises which i havent noticed before, but hes just been for a really long walk and is totally normal. you think the gurgles are ok? should i be worried?>
im just glad that gross thing is outta there!!!!!

WOW. The poor guy, that is something I would have done to, to disect it. Keep a close eye on him and if he seems lathargic or not eating call the vet and see what they say. I too am glad that he got it up and its not in his belly any more. (Was it 2 feet by 3 feet or 2 inches by 3 inches? I thought inches were " and feet were ' ? Just asking...)

i know. i was so worried for ages and ages and watched himlike a hawk but he was so totally normal! i guess i made a boob with my measurments!!! it def wasnt 2 feet in size!!! im used to cm's im only wee!!!
there wasnt even a big pile of throw up it was really just the 'thing' i think thats been it all it was pretty solid and tightly woven!!!
hes been full of beans tonight tho so i guess hes glad to get rid of it too!!!
im pretty paranoid about him in general so dont worry.l. im on full alert as usual!!!

Clover's thrown up stuff that looks like that. She kinda makes a hacking noise then up it comes....it solid but wet, kinda, hairy and very tightly woven. I kinda have a weak stomach so I didn't disect it. I did take it to the vet once and they just stared and me and said "what is that?" I said "I have no idea it came out of Clover"...they were dumb founded...

At least your neighbor didn't see you bent over a pile of dog poo with a spoon in your hand to dissect it! LOL I got strange looks for several days until I finally explained myself haha. Glad to hear it finally came out, keep an eye on him but he should be just fine.

Tae's tummy seems to make loud gurgly sounds a lot, but she's never swallowed anything strange (best as I can tell). She just gurgles frequently not illness is attached to the sounds. Maybe that's what's up with Bailey? I can't believe after 4-5 weeks he threw that up. Ewwwwie!

My rotties stomach gurgles a lot too but he eats anything and everything!if he can chew it he can eat it. I wouldnt be worried.

Thank goodness that thing came up!It's amazing the things they can swallow and pass!I wouldn't worry too much about the gurglies though...Herkie gets them on occasion, and if they persist I give him a touch of pumpkin (1 tbsp)...he thinks he's just getting a tasty treat!
