What is the newest procedure? My boy Calvin has a plate & Screws in his knee, I thought the newest procedure was when they go in with a Scope? I give my boy a supplement called Canine Artha-Flex, which contains Glucosamine. With these products you might not notice results, but once you stop giving it to them, you see how much better off they were when they are on it. It's in a liquid formula that comes in a beef flavor, I pour it over his food once at night. I also give him Etogesic, which is a anti-flammatory pill, once a day. Every 6 months or so, I bring him to my vet for some blood work, just to make sure his liver enzyme level didn't increase. This is sometimes a side effect of Etogesic.
I wouldn't wait to long to have the procdure done, I made that mistake with Calvin, because I wasn't told earlier by my vet that it was a torn ACL. Arthritis sets in the longer you wait.
