Top Of The Class! & The Youngest!

I'm bragging I know but I thought that you would all be SO pleased to know that Axle just completed his basic obedience course and graduated at top of the class...& he was the youngest! He was up against a Shepherd, poodle, schnauzer, labradors, collie & something else...I am so proud of him! Not only that, he was class clown too so I think we have made a small impression for the breed here in my small town in New Zealand. Here the boxer's reputation has taken a bit of a beating so its hard to get out & about with ours without making ppl nervous...I think he done the opposite with his classmates so we are rapt!
Followed in the footsteps of his big sister Ali who also got first in her class a couple of years back!

Congrats!! Elsa only did private training, I've never taken her to a group obedience class, but reading about all of these positive and fun experiences, I'm really starting to want to sign her up! (as a refresher course...

Lucy goes tonight for her 2nd class. We only have one trainer in our small town, and she does them one on one. Hope she will do as good as your baby did!! Congrats Axle need to celebrate!!!! appicon

Congrats Axle ~ Zoey sends a loving lick your way! I only hope our Zoey can do as well.

Wish us luck tonight is her first day in Basic Obedience with six other dogs. The instructor told us at orientation that from day one the dogs are not allowed nose-to-nose contact. Zoey is in for a real shocker - she's the social butterfly and loves to meet everyone! She did great in Puppy Kindergarten and really impressed the instructors with her Agility Skills, I just hope she can adapt to the changes in BASIC TRAINING (that's what I call it, LOL!) she used to get so excited to go to Puppy Kindergarten that she would whine the whole way there.

Now that cause for an applause. appicon CONGRATULATIONS AXLE. You must be so proud of him. I applaude you too!! He didn't do it all by himself. A dog is only as good as his master. Great job.

Haha, thanks all so much for your congratulations! I'm sure those of you who are attending classes with your babies will do amazingly well! Boxers are so underestimated...what I didnt mention in my post was that each Monday night after our class, the next level would run through. There was another boxer and her owner which attended this class and he actually came to Axle's graduation to see what he could do! Unbeknown to me!
What a great wee 'family' we are huh?! Guys keep me posted on how you all do...best of luck & have heaps of fun
