Too Stressed?

OK - I have two options. Over the next month I am going to be putting in some long hours at work and until I can move (which will hopefully be sometime in the next two months) I live too far away to get home at lunch and let Annie out. Annie is only 13 weeks old. I can get someone to stop in on her once a day and let her play with Riot (2.5 years) and get some excercise out in the yard, but that still puts her in a crate for a long time (which is by no means a long term thing). Obviously she has to have someone check in on her - but it puts her breaks only at every 6-7 hours. Or, today I tried something different - I work at a small business that has a small house also rented behind it. My boss said that I could bring her up here and crate her in the house - that way I can check on her every 3-4 hours. BUT they are doing a lot of construction outside the house so it is really loud. My question is which do you think will cause her more stress and harm? - Staying home and only being let out every 6 hours, with Riot there to sleep by her crate or being in a place she doesn't know with loud noises by herself. Any thoughts are welcome.

I don't know if this would work for you, but can you puppy proof one room, put annie and riot in it, along with some of those little potty pad things?

You know, I have thought about that before. My biggest concern these days is that Riot is so big and Annie seems so small, I am worried that she might get hurt when the play over the couse of 6 hours. Am I just being over protectove?

Well, never havebeen that I know of, but aren't you the one who started the Jax, Fl post a few weeks back? Someone on there (I can't remember who, sorry:) and I decided we would try to meet at the new big fancy dogpark on the 1st weekend of Nov. If it isn't open, we will decide on another one. I will go post back to that thread in a few minutes toget it active again :D
I will be in Jax on Sunday, if you would like to meet at a park or the beach or something:) Send me a PM if interested!

Sorry, I missed your other post:) I don't know. How do they play together normally? I don't know that much, but I know tat Mac always seems to know when to be gentle, with little dogs and little kids and whatnot. And he came be so rough with dogs his own size it is amazing that he can settly so much witht the babies. I bet Boxer21 or someone else who recently added a baby could help you out.

I can't wait to see your baby! I want another puppy so much:D

We are actually heading to West Palm today through Sunday to see Radiohead in concert, but I would love to meet up sometime at the new park.

As far as Annie, I think that in another week she will be fine to stay be herself. Riot is actually pretty good about knowing when to back off. If nothing, she gets him more because she loves to chew on his ears. It probably just has to do with the fact that she seems sooooo tiny when standing next to him.

You could always try doggy daycare.

A friend in Jax uses Jullington Creek. (or Julington Creek)

I have a pair who are about a year apart and would take them to daycare on days I would be out all day with nobody to check on them.
