everyday Rocky (my 6 months old boxer) plays off lish ( on grass land with fences so he won't run away) with golden retriver (8 months old) for two hours, the games include: running, wrestling, rolling on the grass and of course some breaks to drink water, but most of the time running.
Is it too much for his age?

. a dog will know when to quit, when they get tired or have had enough, im sure he has a nice nap when he is done. its nice he has another dog to play with, i wish spanky did, he would love to run and play for two hours with a buddy.
