too much illness(sorry al ittle long)

just looking for some positive healing vibes... 2 weeks ago my DD best friends Dad was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I am pretty good friends with the mom too. He is scheduled for surgery 2 days before Christmas and right now he is going through tests to see if it has spread.I really hope not because if it hasn't he has a pretty good chance of cure. If it has well...Another friend of mine was admitted to ICU on Monday. Her DD called me Sun. and said her mom had been in bed and not eating and barely drinking and sleeping for 3 days. I told her to get her to a doctor. Well Monday she did and was admitted directly to ICU. Her blood sugar was 328(norm 80-120), also her white blood cell count was elevated. So she was septic (blood Infection). they are still not sure of the source of infection. She had a CT scan yesterday that I guess showed a spot on her pancreas. So of course now I worry if it's cancer and not diabetes alone. Then the day before Thanksgiving I had my routine mammogram. I left there with a paper saying it was normal. Then yesterday I get a call from my doctor's office saying they want me back to do a sonogram because my tissue is dense and they're not sure they got a good enough view. I'm sure (I hope) all will be ok, but it makes me mad they say it's ok and then 2 wks. later they call and say they think it's ok but...I wish they wouldn't say anything til they were sure..I know I may be overreacting but with everything else going on I can't help it. Well i go later today for the sono (I asked to have it done ASAP) Just hoping for some boxer vibes that all will turn out well for all of us. Thanks

thanks everybody. My sono was normal they just wanted a better look. My friend in the hospital will probably be discharged tomorrow. i guess it is just diabetes, better tests did not show a spot on her pancreas. They never did figure out what caused her infection but they her antibiotics and she is better, so that is good. I know she has alot to learn about managing diabetes but at least it wasn't anything worse. My dd's friend's dad is still waiting to get results on his tests. he sees his Dr. on Monday so please keep the good vibes coming that he'll be ok and that his cancer has not spread. Maybe will be 3 for 3 with good news. Thank you

My dd's dad is home from the hospital and doing better. It looks like his cancer was just in the kidney they removed and did not spread. So hopefully now he is cured. Thanks for all the good wishes.
