We just got 2 weeks ago, a 15 month old male named Bo. A lady at hubbys work got him and has a ridgeback 10yr old, evidently the ridgeback attacked the boxer on the neck and he has some scarring. She new she couldnt have the 2 of them so we ended up taking him. We have a rottie lab female 7 years old very much the alpha dog, and 2 poodles (15 & 17 yrs old) We have had boxers before so we were very excited. All the dogs got along so well and Bo adjusted really well! Well until last night, he attacked the rottielab for no reason we were on the couch and the both of them were sleeping right next to each other and he attacked her, we broke them apart and then she went and licked him and he wiggled at her and things seemed fine, then they settled down and he did it again and my husband had to tackle him. We put a leash on him for the rest of the night, his eyes were like he wasnt even there. He slept with my son and this morning he still wasn't he normal playful self. What are we to do. I just adore him but now I don't trust him at all and want to give him back to the lady, she said if it didn't work that she would take him back?

Wow, you have my sympathy. Your dealing with a pretty tough situation... I don't know much of anything about multiple dog households. But, I do have a multiple pet household and I can tell you this, it takes more than 2 weeks for animals to adjust to each other. We've had Oscar (our boxer baby) for 3 weeks now and his relationship with our 2 older cats has only mildly improved since he's gotten here. If you think its worth a shot, and its an option you're willing to take, you may want to give your dogs some more time to get to know eachother and accept one another.
