WE PASSED!!! :D :D :D
I'm so proud of my baby boy and of course myself to!! Tonight was fun, especially when we got our diplomas!! We basically did all the drills we've learned and all of the dogs in the class did great with all of them. It's amazing to see each dog's progress, especially because we only see them for about an hour and half a week.
Tonight we also showed some of our tricks. I tried to get Riley to do his new one that I tough him last night, and he does know it because he did it right away for me this afternoon. But there was so much going on around him that I only got half of it. Basically I tell him to sit, give me his paw, and then I say "both". Then he's supposed to put his other paw on top of the one that I'm already holding. It's so cute seeing him cross his paws, I wish he did in class, but I settled for the normal paw. :rolleyes:
The trainer was impressed with us because none of us got frustrated with our dogs when they didn't do as we asked. Which I thought was very cool as well. Wow, I just can't believe that our classes are done. These 7 weeks just flew by!! The trainer did invite all of us to drop in for a class here and there because it would be good to keep them in the public and socialized, which I also thought was cool. So, I may just drop in for fun sometime.
Riley will pass with flying colors.
