Today is the big day!

Well, I just dropped Zeus off at the vet to be neutered and microchipped. I am going to visit him after work today and hopefully they will let me take him home. We will see though. I really don't want him to have to stay there if his surgery goes well.

The vet just called me and he is out of surgery and doing good. They told me I can't take him home until tomorrow at 9am. Does anyone else think that is strange since no one is at the vet all night? Just curious. I am going to see him in 3 hours......I can't wait! Thanks for all your warm thoughts, me and my baby appreciate it

If no one is going to be there, that does sound strange- at least at your house YOU can watch him.

Glad the surgery went well! I would ask if you can take him home so you can keep an eye on him. Willis was really freaked out after the surgery and I doubt that he would have been comfortable on his own.

But once Zeus gets home, tell him to really work that "woe is me" face so that he gets lots of treats. :D

If there is no one in the office, I would insist on taking him home. At least at home you can keep an eye on him.

I had Bud in for surgery and they kept him overnight. He ended up eating the mat on the floor of the crate and needing emergency surgery the next week. Now I know better for next time and will insist on taking him home where he would be comfortable.
