Thank you everyone

Thank you all so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers.
Our hearts were raw with pain these last few days as you all know how much these babies can mean to us. My husband and I had chosen not to bring any human kids into this crazy world of ours but instead have focused our love on our Boxer babies. It just hurt so bad to have to make that decision, we would have done anything to help her had we known that there would be hope for her to lead a pain-free life. We know each day will get a little easier, but we will never forget. Thanks for being here for us. It's comforting to know you understand exactly how we feel.

Our thoughts are with all of you on the loss of your princess. We have just gotten our Jaz, and have lost other animals in the past. We know how hard it can be. Please know that Princess is at Peace, and is happily jumping and playing. She will always be in your hearts.angelicon

Thank you Jazmyn. All of our babies are very special to us. Sometimes you don't realize how much impact they have on your life until they leave you. She's definately left paw prints on our hearts.

Wendy, I am so sorry to hear about your Princess. Your shoes are a horrible place to be right now. I know that raw pain you're going through and I wish you strength to get through this time.

I think Princess left you that little peace of dogfood to let you know that she is waiting for you at the Bridge. Aren't our boxers so wonderful? Even from the other side, she still tried to make you smile.

Godspeed Princess. Hugs to you Wendy.

It's been 8 days now and each day gets a little easier. I'm just glad that she is no longer in pain. When we look back, she wasn't feeling well for quite some time. She hesitated when we'd welcome her to jump up and give us a hug and there was a reduction in the amount of play she initiated. Seems like the last 6 months she'd just prefer to be a bystander and not join in the Boxer fun with the other pups. Her last 3 weeks were when we noticed something was really wrong and I feel bad that she had to hurt so much. You're right, the pain is raw, but we are healing with each day that goes by. We've been bringing out pictures of her when she was a pup and have enjoyed "remembering when". She does continue to make us smile! But I miss her so.
