I'm looking on petsmart.com right now and I don't see the "unigroom", I do see a rubber brush by Kong here . If someone could post a link for the "unigroom" I would greatly appreciate it. I've tried some wire brushes on Sandy but they dont work and I think they pinch her.

I was just at Petsmart and looked at the one made by Kong. It's virtually the same thing so you'd be just fine getting that one=)

Tae started shedding badly last week, so I went to Petsmart to find a Unigroom. They only had Zoom Grooms, also made by Kong. I got home and went to the kong website and learned the Zoom Groom is for a dog or cat and the Unigroom is for a horse! Regardless, they are almost identical.

...and the Zoom Groom, cool2icon it worked really well, but it would be ideal to have some sort of glove (or the vacuum :D ) to pick up the dead hair. A lot of the hair stayed on Tae. She shook , though, and a bunch came off. I've decided that brushing her before long walks might be ideal, since the hair will fall off during the walk.

Thank you

Thank you for the info on the Unigroom brush. I just got my boxer pup on Wednesday March 24. He is 8 weeks old and looks very much like the pic I see under KillerBoxer. Could you tell me the name of the ear crop you chose for your boy. He is handsome. I am doing research on ear cropping. I just don't know what to ask for or what I want for him. He is going to be huge just judging by his paws.

I got one of these brushed from Old Navy a few years ago. Not sure if they have had them since or not. I keep it outside on the deck next to my lawnchair and brush away! I find it loosens up quite a bit and wipe off the loose hairs when done.

The brush is also called a rubber curry comb. Most farm supply/feed stores sell them.

And yes, they work wonders!

yeah, that's what they're called. i bought one for zeus. i think they're cheaper than the zoom groom. also, correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the zoom groom sold as a two piece? it also comes w/a kong right? i have no need for the kong...zeus will bite it to a million pieces and he'll be pooping out the red pieces for days!!
but the curry comb picks up the loose hair and it works especially well when you bathe him and scrub him down w/that.

Curry comb types

This might help for those who do not know what they look like!

Also the rubber grooming glove work great too!
I use it on my horses and boxers. Perfect for bath time!

The Zoom Groom I bought did not come as a two-piece set. It was $8.99, so clearly the curry comb is cheaper!! They look relatively identical. Wish I'd taken the time to do some more research before buying. I acutally didn't realize it was that much ($8.99) until they rang it up b/c the Unigroom on the Kong website was cheaper, if I remember corrently.
