I have been doing some reading up on the Timberwolf organics, it looks great! I was thinking of trying it, ( although I am scared to death because of the stomach issues and the pooping issues). I thought I'd look into the lamb, barley and apple formula. My question is, I had read a few things on line that I don't understand, it was stated that this food could cause high ph in the urine and shouldnt be used? I am a bit confused and maybe this that I read the person didnt have the correct information. Thats why I come to you guys Thank you in advance.

I don't know about the ph thing but I put Syxx on T Wolf's Dakota Bison formula and it has been great for him. We went through numerous premium dog foods because nothing agreed with Syxx's tummy. When we switched to T Wolf he had his best poop ever after only 3 meals!

Sorry I couldn't be of help about the pH of the formula you want to feed but I am truly a believer in T Wolf's products.

Weeelll - there are quite a few Timberwolf users on this site, but nobody has reported a problem with high urinary pH yet Do you have a reason for why this food (just the one formula? or all of them?) "might" cause this? And would it apply to healthy dogs, or just those with existing urinary problems...?

I've heard the opposite about the ph in Timberwolf. There is a family that buys the Timberwolf from the same place we use to (we switched to raw) and both of their dogs have had high ph in their urine for like 6 years. Anyways, they decided to let their dogs pick out their own food (using the sample bags) and they picked out Timberwolf. 4 months later, one of their dogs goes in for their check-up and for the first time in 6 years, it had a normal ph balance in the urine. They thought it was coicidence. 2 months later they had their other dog tested and same thing, a normal ph balance for the first time in many years! And they have had it ever since and they stay on Timberwolf.

As for the stomach stuff, Lily has major stomach issues and we have tried every kibble out there it seems. Timberwolf is the only kibble that worked for her and she thrived on it.

I just started yesterday to switch my two over to TimberWolf we are going with the Blackforest one. So far they both love it although I am only at this point adding a small amout to their current food. I have heard lots of good things about it and I am hoping it will be good for my female who has some mild allergy problems.

Timberwolf...Who's minding the store?

I have been feeding Max the timberwolf elk formula and it has been great for hiim. No loose stools or stomach problems so far. My concern is that when I tried to call the company and left my name and tel# as per the recorded message, no return call has been recieved. I have done this three times. I have also e-mailed them with a specific question and have only recieved a generic e-mail in return which is from an automated system. I am growing increasingly uneasy about this situation. Don't get me wrong, I would not feed Max "purina" just because they answered their phone,but every company,especially the better food ones have answered their phones and put me through to someone who has answered my questions. In an industry that has such little oversight and overall control it is a little scary to feed Max this food because of a great looking web site and fancy packaging. Has anyone ever had any direct contact with timberwolf organics? Thanks.

I think they are experiencing growing pains. I had a slight "go round" a few months ago about shipping time. I did place another order Monday and recieved it yesterday.
I've had better luck with email personally. They do mention to reorder a few weeks ahead of running out somewhere on their site.

Well, I had read some user reviews and someone had mentioned that the dog, (I don't know if it was older or sick to begin with), had high ph from this food. Now I know yoou have to read everything and understand that you don't ever know the "whole" situation Thats why I thought I'd just ask the experts who use it and see if they'd heard of it, as I said, I don't quite understand the whole thing I had kind of decided on the lamb & apple because it sounded like it would suite my guys best, having had tummie and poo issues BAD in the past. Has anyone used that particular one ?Or, if there's another suggestion on a flavor that's different I'd appreciate that also. I just felt those of you that have used it are the best to ask. Thank you for all the help. I did read the web-site itself and the description of the different foods, that was helpful though, thank you

I've rotated through a few of their varieties. The only one that Chancey had slight issues with was the Chicken & Herb. Her issue was stinky gas. I guees it was more my issue than hers. She did fine with the Lamb & Apple,Wildn'Natural,Black Forest...she's on the Bison now I think.
