Thyroid meds?

We just found out a couple months ago our 8 yr old Mojo (fawn, floppy) had an underactive thyroid. The vet has put him on meds for this and it has made a huge difference in his personality for the better (alot more peppy) the only thing is that his fur is getting so thick and curly, he looks and feels like a big teddy bear! Anyone else ever heard of this?

Yep! My Chancey started soloxine .8 mg a couple of months ago .Her coat has always been thin and coarse,now its thick and soft and a bit wavy around her neck.
