We had a pretty bad thunderstorm roll through last night/ early this morning and it got me to wondering if your fur-babies have a problem dealing with the thunder. My Dempsey could care less and has always been that way, but Marcie will try to find what she considers a safe place to hide. Mostly she hides in my (finished) basement.

So what about your fur-babies?

Cooper and Bauer could really care less about the thunder also, but when there are those loud cracks, they will pop their head up like "You wanna keep it down, I am trying to nap here!"

Completely Boxer Crazy
Every dog that I've had is different. One would bark at the thunder, it was funny:) One would hide under something, preferably my arm. Currently Rocky(11 weeks) doesn't seem to mind, but it can put Apollo on edge, he goes on alert!

Out of all things, thunder is the only thing that terrifies ABBY. From the first rumble of it way off in the distance, she starts getting scared. She has always shied away from anything that makes a loud noise, but thunder is the worst.

I've never had a dog as laid back as Bella. Nothing phases her including thunder! But she does like to sit in the window and watch the lightening.

Lana really doesn't seem to care much if its storming. That is until she has to go potty. Then its a BIG deal. ;)

Austin could really care less about thunder, unless it's a really loud boom then he comes running! We lost power from last nights/this mornings storm.

Biff usually lifts one eyelid, and looks up as if to say, "Shut off that noise, please - I'm trying to get some beauty sleep here! ! ! "

Both of mine are TERRIFIED of thunder. Napoleon hides under something (usually the bed) and Sandy becomes a velcro dog. She will not leave my side.

When Stella was a tiny baby it was lightning and thundering, and that's the only time she ever whimpered. I just said "It's OK, Stella, nothing to worry about," and she went right back to sleep. Hasn't had a problem with it since!
