Thunder anyone?

I live in VA and got absolutely no sleep last night because it was thundering really good outside. No real rain to speak of, just a good old fashioned thunder storm. It started about 1:00 AM and Baron started barking like someone was at the door. I thought I would get lucky and let him outside before he woke up the whole house. No such luck. By the time I came back to the bedroom, Cricket and Zoie were both barking rediculously loud and whining too.

Does anyone else's boxer flip out during a thunder storm?

Mine sleep right thru them!!! Our other dog however becomes a blithering idiot she's so scared!!

Semmi slips out and starts panting and eye bugging. No barking..she's a silent wonder.

Oscar couldn't care less. He has slept through every storm we have had since we got him. Thank goodness.

Having one freaking out is enough for me.

PS...howdy neighbor! I noticed that you are just up the road! LOL!

Hey Stef, not that far up the road. I just checked on them all and of course they are all crashed on various pieces of furniture. Sor some reason Zoie lays up on the back of the couch like a cat. That won't last too much longer. She's 12 weeks old today and she's getting too big. She rolls off now.

Usually they bark once or twice and then stop but this was some awesome thunder, I love storms, but I guess my babies didn't inherit that love.

Our rottie gets scared big time, trying to crawl in your lap! The boxers don't even care about it!

I had a sheppard that used to go hide in the bathtub when it stormed.

Last night was funny, they went outside and barked at the sky. It didn't help, the thunder kept coming.

Austin could care less about thunder.

Flash could care less but Zoe goes nuts. Zoe starts shivering,pacing and panting hours ahead of time. I think she can tell when the pressure drops.

Greta flipps out! She will go into my closet and actully pull things off the hangers to cover her head in.

Clio is a big chicken, she'll bolt down the hallway into my room and hide under my bed, or she'll run down stairs and try to hide under my dad's recliner. It all stemmed from when she was a puppy about not even 2 months old and we had her outside for a walk before a very big thunder storm came through, and all of a sudden a huge thunderous roar sounded and clio bolted from our back yard into our down stairs (had the back door open) my mother was doing laundry and had the dry door open, she jumped into the dryer and wouldn't come out, i wish i had a camera for that but couldn't get one in time.
