Throwing Up???

I started out feeding Axel (11 months) Chicken Soup Puppy formula when he was a puppy and kept him on it until he was a few months old until he started throwing up every other day after eating. I switched him over to ProPlan Adult because I thought maybe the Puppy Formula was to rich for him and he stopped throwing up every other meal but he still will throw up about once a week after eating. I am very confused. Should I put him on a sensitive stomach food or take him to the Vet? I don't want to waste my time at the vet if all they are gonna tell me is that he probably has a sensitive stomach and to try sensitive stomach food. Also, if sensitive stomach food might be the answer what are some good reccommendations??

Is he running around at all...or drinking alot of water...Guinness will throw up after he inhales water &/or runs around after eating...

Well, there are a multitude of reasons a dog might throw up. Allergies is one, intolerance to grains or other difficult-to-digest ingredients is another. What is the protein source in the Proplan?

If it is also chicken, it could be worth trying (as an example) a lamb-based food. I would also look into a different brand to Proplan. It isn't a high quality kibble and you might find he does better on something with human-grade ingredients and less grains/fillers. As a general rule, you should avoid anything with a grain in the top three ingredients or containing corn, corn meal or beet pulp (all of which are common allergens).
