Throwing up in crate

I've had Lola for three weeks now. She is 12 weeks old. I try to put her in the crate each day for about 2 hours. I normally leave the house because I can't take the yelping and crying. When I come home I find her crying and her front paws soaking as well as her bed wet. I am not sure if it's pee because her back paws are dry as whistle. I always find throw up as well. I think she has very bad separation anxiety. I am not sure what to do. Has anyone experienced this?

The wetness you describe could be from Lola drooling. Tae used to drool when I put her in her crate. I'd come home to find her chest and neck we, as well as the towel under the crate (soaked). She also licked the bars and I could see the dried saliva on them. Try doing a search (click on search button above) on drooling or crate training. It may just be that your pup hasn't adjusted to the crate or being away from her littermates yet. That said, I'm not an expert at crate training!

drooooooleey blech! been there, done that one!

My Petey and his sis did the same when they were small in the crate, yowl, yelp, woo woo, everything...just heart wrenching. But I had to get them used to it, and I finally figured out why everything was wet. I have another outside door in my laundry room where the crate was, and I would go out one door then go outside and peek in. The would stand and chew the fence sides of the crate and drool everywhere, not only that they would make their mouths sore and drool even more. And, the throw up- I think mine just yow-yowed themselves into throwing up sometimes, thank goodness I don't have to crate anymore!!

My Lucy doesnt throw up but man she drools all over it. I stopped giving her a blanket because it would be soaking wet. and her squeaking stuffed toys would just stick to the crate from being so wet. She is still going through that hopefully it gets better. Good luck. P.s. at least its not pee :)

Tae used to drool in her crate, too. I believe this is a sign of anxiety. Have you looked into it? I got concerned b/c I'd get home from work and find her all wet from drool. I worked with a behaviorist who determined Tae has a confinement problem. She said she knew of other Boxers with similar issues.
