Lily got spayed last Thursday and she seemed like she was doing fine. Then on Sunday she threw up and has a couple times a day since. Other than that she has been acting like her normal self. Although she has not wanted a treat, but she has been eating her food. Has anyone had this happen after like that or should I be calling the vet? (The throw up has this awful smell to it too.)

If she has been throwing up since Sunday, I would call the vet, it's been 3 days. When I had Arabella spayed almost 2 weeks ago. They told me to call if she started to vomit.

Throwing up after an anaesthetic isn't that unusual - happens to people too. But it certainly should not be still going on days later (hours after - sure. But not days).

I wonder if the vet sent you off with any sedatives or pain relief for her? If so, what is it? If she's being given anything, I'd suggest stopping it - and if it happens to be Acepromazine, stop as a matter of urgency.

She was given an an anti imflamatory that she took until Sunday and then nothing since. No Ace!!! We made sure of that to begin with. We called the vet and the are doing a barium set of x-rays to make sure she didn't get into anything. They say it is certainly not from getting spayed. I thought maybe she could have an infection or something, but apparently that can't happen. She was never given any antibiotics. So we are waiting for the barium results. They took a regular x-ray and said her stomache seems bloated, and they asked if she had eaten today, which she had afer she threw up this morning. He said just in case he wanted to do the barium one too be certain. I will let you know what I find out. It just seems strange to me.

Sugar got spayed yesterday, and I thought she was going to throw up this a.m. I finally got her calmed down. She wouldn't eat or drink anything, and she had me worried. Finally i got ensure down her. Figured that was better then nothing.
SO deff since it has been this long and she is still vomiting i'd call the vet. Although it might just be the food she is on not agreeing with her stomach yet.
