Thoughts on Histiocytoma

Oskar has had 3. and my breeder told me to put iodine on them 3 times a day. I did this and they dried up rather quickly. The fur is back and you would never know they were there. Oskar's got to be about the size of a pea or pencil eraser.

The boxer of a friend of mine had one and it went away just puting iodine on it as the vet suggested.Avra has 3 of them and i just start iodine,wish us luck

Let me know if the Iodine works. I asked my vet and she said that it may not work but it wouldn't hurt to try, atleast it will keep it clean.

I am going to start with it tonight and see what happens.

Danny had a 1.5 x 2 cm histiocytoma on his chest. It appeared as a small mass, was static for a bit, and then grew rapidly to its ultimate size. My vet recommended leaving it alone. I had to leave the country for 5 weeks and it had pretty much resolved by the time I got back (I guess that's one way to keep from obsessing over something). From start to finish I would guess he had it for about 3 months.

Unfortunatelly the Iodine didn't work on Avra.I stopped putting iodine because the size of the mass didn't change at all,but the color became somehow blue and i was afraid,so i stopped it.
