You never knew stubborn until you met your boxer! Just wait -- it's amazing how something so tiny can be so stubborn. EVEN when they know you can just pick them up and move them. Suki turns into the dumbest dog alive when she doesn't want to do something. She gives me the "do I know that word?" look, when I know darn well she does. She just doesn't want to, and she goes all simpleton on me. Little stinker. But ooo, I love those mooshy lips and her sheer joy at seeing me come home. :)

Stubborn. Hmmm, not sure if I'd call it that. I call it just plain ignoring mommy LOL. But I agree. Those eyes, mushy face, wiggly butt, and ooooh, those sloppy kisses. Sooo worth every minute of it!!

@kathysboxer -- this is when she's staring straight at me! She'll completely refuse to do anything I ask. Or my favorite...when my husband tries to take her out. If I don't walk her to the door, she won't budge from my side. She's not ignoring him...she just won't! It's not funny...but oh Lord, it is. ;) My husband does not see the humor, however...

I have gotten 'the look' quite a bit the past few days. He'll follow me downstairs to the door, wait while I put his leash on (at this point I know that he knows it's time to go out), and then I'll open the door, walk outside and he just sits there...staring at me. Sooo frustrating but at the same time it's just hilarious to see.

What do you all do in a situation like that? I've been picking him up at times, and other times I've given a tug on the leash and an exited "Come on Goose!", which doesn't always work.

He does the same stubborn sit-down when we are on walks (and yes, I have kept them brief, 10mins or so in length on grass only). He'll get startled or nervous about an upcoming person or thing and he just sits down and won't budge. After 4 or 5 times it's not as funny to me anymore!

Great looking boxer... love the huge paws!

Thank you! Everyone says that about the paws too. To us they don't seem all that big because believe it or not, he was the smallest of the 3 males in the litter. The sire was 75lbs. Just a BEAUTIFUL dog. We're thinking he'll end up around 70-75lbs too, but who knows.
