I would definately call the humane society and/or the police, although I don't know how much they could do legally. We all know taking the dog wouldn't be the best way to go, but could you offer to buy her? Maybe just tell him you fell in love when you met her and want to know if he would consider selling her to you. He certainly doesn't sound to attached to her, and to a jerk like that a couple bucks is probably more attractive than a disobediant dog. That way, no laws would be broken and everybody involved would benefit, especially that poor puppy!

Thank God you are intervening on Allie's behalf. I feel sick reading what this man is doing to her. Every time I read about animal abuse, I go home and hug my Isis harder and kiss her even more. I hope you can help bring about justice for this poor sweet girl.

I was in a situation similar to this with my neighbor. I was afraid to take his dog for legal reasons. I did call animal control several times and they finally came out and removed the dog from his property.

Let us know how the situation turned out.

I can't finish my lunch now. Please tell me you did soemthing to get her out of that situation. I would have gone back no matter what and gotten her; take the police for example. LIE for crying out loud!!!
Tell the cops that she's yours and look at how easily she comes to you and runs away from that guy!!!!

My thoughts exactly. All though I doubt he would just hand her over to you, people like this can be very controlling of their animals. Even if they don't want them or to take care of them they won't let them go to a home where somebody else would, at least not without a nice profit $. But I say if you see her runing loose again, because it seems like she has found how to escape just not know where to go after she does, I would grap her and take her home with you as quickly as possible. If he doesn't know the street you live on or anything he can't come looking for her. It seems she might have picked you out to help her, she can sense your a boxer lover. Good luck. i am a landlord and when we are trying to evict tenants and they still won't leave, we say, look we'll pay you $200 if you just leave... it's sad but it works. Money appeals to people.

Call the police or animal control; NOW! It won't be long before he really hurts her. Maybe there are other animals at risk too. Do this baby a great big favor and step in!

okay, I called my local animal control/ rescue. I told her all the details and where the family lived and she took my information and said that she will call back a.s.a.p. She has to contact the officer and they are going to send someone to the house. If this doesn't work out, I am definately going to offer him to buy Allie.

So far today I've taken Penny on two walks by their house to check on her but she's not out, nor is anyone else. I talked to one of their neighbors and he says they usually take the dog out at around 3 o clock so Penny and I will be investigating at around that time.

This time around if I see anything go on badly with Allie, I am not taking it.
