We're going through jerky treats over here like chocolate in a girls only school. So to save money, we're thinking of buying a jerky maker. And it seems like a lot of you use a jerky maker, so I figured this thread would be most relevant to my questions:

Any suggestions on brand/model of a jerky maker??

Is it OK to buy one that works for humans too, or does it have to be a 'pet' jerky maker?

Any simple recipes for chicken jerky too?

You don't necessarily have to have a dehydrator to make chicken jerky for your furkid. I use the oven set at 200 degrees, and bake the chicken about 2 or 2 1/2 hours. You have to cut the chicken breast really, really thin and put the strips on a cookie sheet and into the oven. Simple and easy, that is for me anyways. Good luck :)
