Laser pointer. Good god....what a riot. We play this all the time. I knew cats love'em....but I've never seen a dog go ape over a laser pointer like our boxer.

Laser pointer!!

Another thing Bayleigh likes is cardboard boxes. When we finish a case of pop, we give her the empty box. She never eats the cardboard but will prance around the house with it and then sit and shred the box.

I tried a new game today, hide and seek. I got completely under the bed covers and Pearl had a grand time trying to get me. I wish someone could have gotten a video. I have used a laser pointer in the past. I had to stop because Pearl liked it a bit too much. She was absolutely fixated on it and got herself very wound up about it. Then for days afterward if I happened to wave my hand around she would go crazy, pawing me and looking for the light.

Zeus would do the same thing; he would get himself wound up before I even started pointing it because he knew the sound it makes (it's on a keyring) when i grab it. He would stop panting and start looking for it on the floor.

I play hide and seek with him and sometimes even jumps whenever I do pop out and yell at him.

He loves wrestling and playing tug...his favorite toy for this being a soccer ball with two rope handles that makes noise.

and he loooooves being touched!! pat him on the head, scratch his back, play with his feet. As long as you're touching him, he's happy.

Laser light GONE!

When my Mom wanted to stop playing with the laser light, she would point it straight at her boxer, Tuff, (NOT into his eyes!) and "let" him bite it, so they he knew he ate it and it was gone, until the next time we mentioned his laser light.

Hide and seek...Tried that with Chopper, but being a puppy, he kept biting the blanket. Problem with that was what was connected to the blanket below....ME! lol

Marrow Bones

The good old fashioned raw hide bone. Big ones. It'll keep him entertained for hours.

You may want to do some research, on here, about Marrow Bones, as I have read many times that raw hide are not the best for them. Just a suggestion.

Apparently, I am Isis' personal entertainer! She really only gets wound up when I dance for her in the mornings as I am getting ready for work (she's old - almost 11). We have the radio on and when a good song comes on, I snap my fingers or clap and dance like an idiot and she loves it! She then has to join in by fetching one of her many toys and jackhammering it or throwing it in the air and barking. She also likes battery operated toys that move and make noise, but they rarely survive more than a week.... Her birthday is coming up in a month. ;) Guess she'll be getting a new battery operated toy!
