Things to entertain the boxer.

What do you do to entertain your boxer, while at home? I am sure there are many ideas out there, so let's see what they are!

I was told to give an ice cube...turned out this is now an occasional game with Chopper. He loves it.

I have been looking for a laser light to try, as my Mom's boxer, Tuff, used to love chasing that. (although, it is important to keep the light away from the dog's eyes)

I tried a new game today, hide and seek. I got completely under the bed covers and Pearl had a grand time trying to get me. I wish someone could have gotten a video. I have used a laser pointer in the past. I had to stop because Pearl liked it a bit too much. She was absolutely fixated on it and got herself very wound up about it. Then for days afterward if I happened to wave my hand around she would go crazy, pawing me and looking for the light.

Kilbane loves Ice cubes, he's right next to the freezer as soon as the door is opened.
The laser pointer works wonders, it works well with the cats also.
The squeek balls and cuz are good entertainers.
We also have a three ring rubber tug toy that we're slowly trying to get him to play with.
The number one entertainer for us is a Marrow Bone.

My daily routine seems to be pretty entertaining to Bubbie. He makes every step I do and depending on what I am doing I find something for him to do or he finds it if I don't. A few examples are if I am folding clothes he will find a few pieces to play with. If I am loading the dishwasher he is always ready to help by licking the plates eliminating the need to prerinse. :eek: His day isn't complete until he has made his contribution to my bath or shower by licking my legs dry or at least his version of dry. He also has an obscene amount of stuffed and squeaky toys spread throughout the house that he finds plenty of time to play with! :D

The good old fashioned raw hide bone. Big ones. It'll keep him entertained for hours.

Leila loves the ice cube too. Tennis balls are a big hit in our house these days. Licking our legs when we are trying to get out of the shower is also fun game for her. She loves to antagonize the cats, that will keep her occupied for quite too long for DH and I. She always finds the dryer sheet too when I am folding laundry. Biting crazy at the broom is always a big hit. I can't ever sweep with her in the house. Never a dull moment when Leila is around.

Hide and seek with Sandy, she loves to find you get kisses and kidney beans.
Napoleon loves to play catch me. He wants to run from you and you grab his behind from time to time.

They are so goofy at times!

A paper bag with handles - Tyler loves playing with these! I always laugh at the fact that I spend a rediculous amount of money on toys for him and what he really likes are paper bags!

I've got a laser pointer and they all love it. Nobody can open the freezer without giving out ice cubes like treats. Occasionally I will use the low sodium broth and make frozen "pup" pops for them.

They have a million squeaky toys in the back yard, tennis balls, giant tennis balls, footballs, anything that is hard and durable and makes noise. In the house they have a collection of various cuz toys and a cuz-like rubber chicken who lost his legs last week.
