I have to repeat what others have said--I saw your post and was sick to my stomach!! I would have gone postal on that guy!! Seriously, after kicking my dog, he would have had more to worry about from me than my dog! And then to threaten you with a shotgun??? Ohhhh, noooo. I think I am a pretty nice person, but when it comes to my furbabies, I am a mean momma bear!

I know you feel bad, but you don't have any reason to. That guy has serious problems. I would stay as far away from him as possible--no need whacking the hornet's nest and causing more problems. I would be worried about his dog as well--it sounds like he doesn't have much regard for animals.

I am so glad your baby is okay. If he had done any damage, he would have had all of BW to deal with!!

I guess sometimes it is nice to be known as the crazy dog lady because no one messes with me and they all are nice to my dogs and don't even try to hurt or bother them. Sometimes crazy can be good.

If someone hits my dog they are going to need to prepare to hit/kick me. I once had some swing one of those things you use to throw tennis balls for dogs at my dag.....I very quickly told he needed to hit me first

Omg!

Oh you didn't! ... Would've been my response. I've been taking self defense kick boxing classes for about 5 years now, and have (thankfully) never had to use it. But Lemme tell ya, someone kicks MY GIRL, they can be expecting a round house to the mouth in return! And THEN maybe a PIMP SLAP on top of that!
I give you props for keeping your cool. But if that'd been my girl it would've gotten UGLY real quick.

I have been reading this thread and just couldn't respond because of how angry it makes me. There is no reason to kick any animal except if my life or someone else's was in danger.

I know that I would not react well if someone kicked one of my babies. Max and Riley are the sweetest ever. They do not deserve anyone to treat them like that. I am their defender and I would like to think I would stick up for them like they would for me. In fact, I know I would.

And this makes it right How? Kicking any animal is wrong (exceptions could be if an animal is attacking you or your child) and you kick to get it away so you can escape).

Never said it was right.. but im sure you call it payback. I'd be doing the exact same as what he done... give him some of his own medicine.

If any action would be done it should be done to the owner himself, not his animal whos only flaw is being owned by an idiot. I would rather beat the tar out of the man that kicked my dog than the dog.
