I am sorry that you have such an ass for a neighbor, I'm sure him kicking your dog in the face was a shock. :eek: I know that if one of my neighbors EVER kicked any one of my dogs, it would've been on!! Hell naw, that would be like kicking one of my kids, there was NO reason for that especially if your dog was not growling or snarling. mmmm mmmm mmmm :rolleyes: That couldn't have been me. I hope that you don't have to deal with his sorry,triflin ass again. :mad:

I would have pounced on the guy and told him in no uncertain terms that he was never to touch your dog again. I am not familiar with your state laws, but I would definitely run it by the DA's office and see what they have to say, just so it can go on record. Good luck ~ Cathy

DITTO!!! Wow! I know for a fact that the scene would not have gone so smoothly if I were in your place! He would have known the feeling of being kicked, whether it would've been in his face or not is up for questioning!

You have tons more patience than I do that's for sure. If someone even tried to kick, let alone connected with one of mine, I'm not sure I would restrain myself.

some people just consider a dog to be only an animal, they have no clue about a real relationship with one. Sounds like his poodle could use some socialization if it was growling.

Thanks all for your post's. I guess I kept my cool, cus I felt partly to blame. I should have protected Duke, and had his leash, and not let my 2yr old boy lead him around. I live in a very small town, and all my neighbors are ranchers so Duke can run all around greeting them. But my mom lives in a bigger town, and I think her neighbors thought he was going to hurt their dog.

Kicking him was not cool, and made me so angry, but I wasnt going to get into it with this idiot who just kicked my dog. I mean come on if some dog came running up to you would you kick it. I wouldn't. That is one way to get a dog mad. I'm just glad Duke didn't get hurt or mad. I don't want this to ruin my dogs good temperment. I'm just going to stay as far away from them as I can.

There is no way I would be apologizing to someone who just kicked my dog. Except maybe apologizing for not being able to remove my foot from their ass!

Someone kicked Rock when he was little as a "training" manuver. I told them not to kick the dog again and that was the end of it. If it would of happened a 2nd time Id of hit the guy.


Edit:The shot gun comment could get the guy in trouble. My neighbor threatened a guy (who had 7 dogs out of control) and the law showed up and threatened to take him to jail.


Youre moms neighbor needs his rear kicked BTW.

OH MY....I am afraid I would have kicked the neighbor. You did very good for keeping your temper in check. I would have lost it too....

I probably would have told the neighbor it was cruel to have his little dog chained up where any dog, cat, or other animal could get to it.

It was not your fault at all. Your baby was just excited when he saw the other dog. They seem to get that way with other dogs.....

Man oh man, if someone kicked one of my babies for the reason you described. I would defintely be giving someone a massive beating. I could only hope that a jury of peers could be selected from boxerworld for the trial, I am sure all of you would understand my temporary insanity defense.

I don't know how you were able to show such restraint. I know that I would have hurt the man if he did that and said that to me. My babies are sweet and I would not have been able to control myself. No one tries to hurt my babies because I am known as the crazy dog lady and they all know I love my babies and would protect them. I guess sometimes it is nice to be known as the crazy dog lady because no one messes with me and they all are nice to my dogs and don't even try to hurt or bother them. Sometimes crazy can be good.
