They kicked my baby!!!

I'm really mad at my Mom's neighbors. They know Duke is only a puppy, and I've told them several times that he is very nice, and wouldn't hurt a fly. But the other day we are all out side, and their little barky poodle is chained up out front barking at us. My son lets go of Duke's chain, and he goes running over to the poodle wanting to play. I yelled for him, but he was to busy trying to play with the other dog. So as I'm on my way over there to get him the neighbor comes out, and kicks him right in the face.

I'm telling you Duke wasn't even growling he was just pouncing around the little dog. It was their dog that was being aggressive. So why the heck they kicked him I dont know. Then he told me if I couldnt control my dog that he would call animal control. I told him Duke wasnt mean and that I was sorry, and that it wont happen again. And he said it better not cus next time he is coming out with a shot gun.

I just don't get why people think boxers are mean. Duke is only 6mths old, but he is really thick and big for his age. But he is so sweet, and wouldn't hurt anyone. But this isnt the first time someone has thought he might be mean. At petsmart a little boy reached out to pet Duke, and the mom freaked out. She screamed "no don't touch that dog," and then pulled him away from Duke. I told her he was nice, and that I had a little boy the same age. she just walked away.

I guess I'm just going to have to get use to the fact that some people are going to be scared of my dog.

My hats is off to you, you should great restraint. I understand that the legal
side to your story, but if you kicked my girl the world is going to crash down on you before your foot is back on the ground!!!! SHE would proably let you beat the stuff out of her, (not so sure about that if you went for the wife) but I wont!!!!!

Yeah, kudos to you for not losing your cool. I know for a fact that if someone would have kicked rocky I would have beat that person like a drum. Rocky at 4.5 months and 46lbs would probably giggle at them, hes tough as nails, but even if he wouldnt react, I would have been up there before the foot touched his face.

I feel sorry that your mom has to have to live next to stupid neighbors. All the people that I live near love Rocky to death because they have known him since he was 6 weeks old. Not only that, but the only time he ever growls or gets mad is when another dog he doesnt know is in his yard, or if someone he doesnt know walks through the door. Thats about it.

What can you say though, stupid people make up the majority of the worlds population.
