Eric - I am also glad to hear that we're not alone! Magnus just doesn't seem to mind laying in his own urnine. I think Nakota may be right too. He's telling us how he really feels. We do the whole bit: just enough water in the a.m. before he has to be crated, no water while he's in the crate, go out two-three times before being put in the crate, fresh towels each time to get the odor out, you name it, we do it. I'm hoping he'll grow out of it. We'll have to see. My vet brought up a good point too - his mother may not have "taught him" how to groom himself or didn't groom her puppies when they were small. I know it was her first (and last litter) so there may be some validity to that theory too.
Whatever the cause, here's to lots of laundry, air freshener, and cleaning Manus' belly regularly...If you have a "break through," please let us know.
