Max is afraid of anything new in the house till he checks it out. Also he isn't the fondest of wind. Thunder and lightening no problem.

His Kong-figure that!

He was very scared at first, don't know why!? But he is slowly coming around to accepting it.

his toots!!!!
my boxer is afraid of her "toots" as well. It cracks me up, she can be sound asleep on the couch and then toot ( sounds like a human toot ) and she will wake up, stare at her butt and then jump off the couch - as if the couch made the noise. Way too funny!!!!

Our Daisy Girl hates the Vaccuum! Mind you all my pups hate it! Just loud I guess! Daisy was afraid of thunder but we got her out of that. We have a surround sound system and the boom box makes some pretty loud booming noises, especially when Hubby is watching Lord of The Rings! Hearing that booming sound all the time, she is used to it all! Other than that, Daisy is our fearless warrior!

Cheers!

mmm....Fearless??

Dexter hates the vacuum but is not scared of it, he will attack the hell out of it if Mommy let's him!
Plastic bags, pots and pans do not bother him at all, I don't think he knows the ceiling fans in the house exist. Garage door doesn't bother him either.

The only time I have ever seen him scared is when he's riden in the front seat of the Jeep with the top off (with doggy seatbelt of course) he HATES it, and will sit and shake because he's so scared. However put him in the back seat with the top off and he's as happy as a clam!

scaredy dog

yes my brave hackle bearing bark to scare you senseless pup....is often terrified of some of the oddest things.
the garage, open shut doesnt matter just scared of it because, he's scared of parked cars, not moving cars, just parked ones. when we go for walks he does the marine under fire scamper crawl past every parked car.

but i have to say his oddest to be scared of that caught me off guard was cards, when i went to play cards and started to shuffle, he jumped back and barked everytime i'd go to shuffle, and if i held the cards up he just would take off and run.

Both of my boys are afraid of people who wear those pull over hoods, especially in the dark where it shadows over your face. They both bark nonstop and will back up until the hood comes off, then they're fine. Even if they know it's you by hearing your voice they hate the hood!

The only real fear that I've noticed with Mason is the vacuum and plastic shopping bags. He also keeps a safe distance from the baby gate as it has fallen over a few times. On a couple of occasions, it fell over and trapped his toy(s) and you would've thought it was trying to kill him.

Riley is much more skittish than Mason. Riley is afraid of the bikes, playing cards (he hates the noise it makes when you're shuffling them), the radio (when it suddenly turns on and the volume is loud) and the vacuum. Of all of these, nothing compared to his fear over the zucchini! We have a friend who has a large vegetable garden and this year he gave us some zucchinis and they were very big! Well, every time you pointed the stem part at Riley he would bark and growl as he quickly ran off into the other room. Once he was at a safe distance he would still stare and bark at it. That definitely made for a good show!

One day my husband rented a steam cleaner and brought it in the house...Layla was TERRIFIED of the thing and it wasn't even turned on!
It took us three days after we returned the cleaner to assure her that the house was indeed safe again from the dreaded thing.

Also, when we eject a DVD from the machine by remote...freaks her out.

I didn't realize that all boxers are quirky about what makes them skiddish, good to know!
